Campfire pancakes
One of the best parts about camping is making breakfast in the morning. Everything tastes better when made over a campfire and these pancakes are no exception. Bring a sense of adventure to mealtime and whip these up right in your backyard. Batter up!
Step 1: Stir up some pancake batter using your favorite recipe. (Bonus points for chocolate chips or fresh blueberries.)
Step 2: Using OUTDOOR firelogs, build a fire in your fire pit. These 100% renewable firelogs have been specially designed and tested for roasting campfire foods. Be sure to follow all the instructions on the packaging!
Step 3: Set a grate over the firepit and make sure it’s firmly in place. Make sure the grate is tall enough so it’s not touching the firelogs.
Step 4: Once the fire has died down to hot coals, place a cast-iron griddle or skillet onto the grate and pre-heat for a few minutes. When you can add a droplet of water onto the griddle and it sizzles, it’s ready for the batter.
Step 5: Grease the griddle lightly and cook pancakes according to recipe instructions. Use a long-handled spatula for flipping.
Step 6: Butter ‘em up and serve ‘em hot!
Pass the syrup!
