CAMP ACTIVITY: GAME NIGHT AFTER DARK

Winner gets s’more dessert!

A young boy wearing glow in the dark necklaces is standing in front of a fire pit.

Just because the sun’s gone down doesn’t mean it’s time to head inside. When hot days wind down into cool evenings, it’s a great time for some friendly competition. Here are some tips on hosting your very own glow-in-the-dark game night, right in the backyard.

-Check the weather! Plan ahead for a clear evening. It’s no fun to get your games set up and then find yourself derailed by an errant thunderstorm.

-Shop for glow-in-the-dark games. We’re big fans of
this easy-to-learn, challenging-to-play ring toss game and this larger-than-life tic-tac-toe set.

-Set up your games when it’s still daylight outside. It’ll be easier to clear any obstacles out of the way so that everyone can participate safely.

-Add some extra glow! Get a fire going in your fire pit before playing, and enjoy its cozy warmth and crackle as you compete. Make things even easier by buying OUTDOOR firelogs
online and picking them up in store when you’re out and about preparing for your game night.

-Everyone’s a winner when dessert is involved. Cap things off with one of our favorite unique s'mores recipes—there’s something everyone will enjoy.
