A Beginner’s Guide to Romantic Glamping
The most important part of romantic glamping is, of course, comfort and glamour. And by that we mean a comfy, luxurious sleeping space (tent or airstream, up to you) and plenty of awesome camping accessories and a roaring fire.
Step 1: Find your location
Location, location, location. For a great glamping experience, you want your campground to be clean, beautiful, near a fire pit, and maybe even have an awesome view of something or another. Try to find somewhere a little more separate from other campers and campsites—there's nothing like the unwelcomed sounds of neighboring sites to put a damper on the mood.
Step 2: Get an awesome tent.
Your tent is your tentpole. Ahem, temple. To glamp properly you will need an epic tent, ideally with enough space for plenty of activities. But even if you can't find an enormous, beautiful glamorous tent, and you've got a classic camping tent, there are still ways to make things glamorous.
Step 3: Blankets and cushions
Cover the ground inside your abode like a child would: with tons of blankets and cushions. The point here can be described in one word: cozy. Your new domain should make you want to curl up with your partner and read books and play games—and any other sort of activity you might be involved in.
Step 4: Food Food Food Wine Wine Wine
Wining and dining, with some delicious appetizers and snacks and some tasty beverages by a roaring fire is the epitome of romance, in our book. We recommend finding a wine picnic set, which are easy to find and hold bottles of wine as well as plates, napkins, utensils, corkscrews, and wine glasses. Glampers don't drink out of red cups.
Step 5: Ambiance
Let's be real. You want this environment to seem like a magical fairy forest that you've somehow stumbled upon. We get that, and that's why you've got to get some string bulb lights. That, and set up a little fire pit nearby—toss on a duraflame campfire log (of course) and you’ll be 99% there. Also, don't forget: music. Grab a bluetooth speaker, mr. dj, and blast that getaway playlist.
