Cinnamon Apple Tea
Ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 1 apple (sliced)
- 2 medium-sized cinnamon sticks
- Small piece of chopped ginger
- 1/2 tsp green tea
- Honey (to taste)
- Lemon Juice (to taste)
Directions
- Add water, cinnamon, green tea, apple and ginger together in a saucepan.
- Bring it to a boil. Cover and simmer for ~10 mins.
- Strain the juice mixture into a serving cup.
- Add honey and lemon juice to taste.
- Pour into cups and sip by the fire!
Spiced Persimmon Turmeric Tea
Ingredients:
- 3 cups water
- Fresh ginger (peeled and thinly sliced)
- Fresh turmeric root (peeled and thinly sliced)
- 1 large persimmon (peeled and thinly sliced)
- 1 tsp peppercorns
- 6 cinammon sticks
- Honey (to taste)
Directions
- Place the water, ginger, turmeric, peppercorns, cinnamon sticks and persimmon slices in a large saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Simmer on low for 20 minutes.
- Strain tea through a fine mesh strainer (or a coffee filter works too!).
- Pour into cups and sip by the fire!
Ginger Root Tea with Lemon and Mint
Ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 2 Lemons (sliced into quarters)
- Fresh ginger (peeled and thinly sliced)
- 10+ Mint Leaves
- Honey (to taste)
Directions
- Add water, 3 slices of lemon, and ginger slices in a small pot. Bring to a boil, and then reduce to a simmer. Add 10 mint leaves to the pot.
- Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add honey or agave if using, add more if desired.
- Strain and serve the tea with a half slice of lemon and one mint leaf. Makes 2 cups of tea.
- Pour into cups and sip by the fire!
